Consoles

Xbox One -  The Xbox one is slightly bigger than the previous version (Xbox 360) but this is probably due to the bigger and better components added to make the Xbox one better, it has many new features which make it very unique, for instant the voice commands which can record game footage with one command - "Xbox record that" and it will be stored on the Xbox until you wish to delete it.  It also has a clear comparison against your friends to see who has more achievements as well as recent game score too, it also lets you compare games to see game time and deaths in the game and many other things.

Kinect allows all the voice recognition in the first place, this is a good way to also sign in easy with it recognizing what you look like too which is a very clever feature. It is not needed for the Xbox to work but this does add many cool features that I still find very impressive and surprise me learning new things everyday. Once you have plugged in the power cable and  connected the HDMI cable  to the TV you can then turn on the console and it will load up with the console home screen and then you'll need to install your game and play!
The power cable has also seen an upgrade since the 360 and now looks a lot slicker to match the new Xbox one look. The power cable is easy to put into the Xbox with clear instructions but I found it so easy i didn't need them because the imports/out ports were easy to recognize anyway. The HDMI cable is unique to the Xbox because other cables do not work with it so it is important to keep this cable in good condition other wise you'll need to buy another one.

PlayStation 2 -  This is one of the first consoles i have good memories of playing games on which got me into gaming and spent many hours on many games at that time I thought had amazing graphics. This was the second console released by Sony called PlayStation 2 following the PlayStation which I have good memories of too but firstly lets look at the PS2. The PS2 was very compact which made it easy to carry around which was good for many people, it also was the first console I believe to have a popular online which many people used and paved the way for what online gaming today. It's fan was originally bigger but when they made the slim they made the fan smaller and more compact in the PS2. The PlayStation again just needs to be connected to the power cable then the AV plug goes into the TV  and then turn on the console and it should take you to the home screen.

This is what was used to power the PS2 would plug into the plug as well as the PS2 itself. This is also very similar to power sources today so it's pretty modern too.
PlayStation 1 - this is the original PlayStation and this had many basic features which when it was released were very advanced which just shows how far gaming has come in just a few years, The PlayStation 1 was very successful for Sony as at that point there were no major competitors which made it very easy to sell millions of copies which is exactly what the PS1 did. The ps1 had very basic graphic cards but at the time it was the best there was and that is why the PS1 is a very unique console because it is the start of the gaming era and paved the way the many consoles. This also came with memory cards which you would need if you wanted to save anything otherwise it'd never save any of your progress. The controllers were all wired and this made that the distance would be an effect if you wanted to move somewhere and this caused problems for maneuver ability. This takes the same steps as the PlayStation 2.
PSP (PlayStation Portable) - this was the first hand held gaming console I owned and I was very impressed I could take it anywhere and play a good game with pretty decent graphics at the time, it was a very good console which could even fit in your pocket which was rare and the first of it's kind to do so until Nintendo created the ds3 which was very successful. The PlayStation also came with some online abilities which gave the player even more fun on games that had multiplayer although I never experienced playing online. The PSP had good graphics too and was very easy to change the game with the easy pop out system were you could easily take it out and put another in as easily as that.  The PSP just need its charger to be plugged in and then it will work after a few minutes charging.
Xbox 360 - this is the Xbox before the newest release the Xbox one, this is one the best consoles released again because it has multiple uses that can easily benefit many people. It can run apps such as sky so you can watch any sky programme as long as your a sky member, you could also use any catch up app like BBCIplayer etc.: the Xbox 360 took over from the original Xbox and competed heavily with Sony's PS3 which at the time were the main consoles to have because of their massive superiority over other consoles. Most people who had the Xbox 360 were happy due to it's reliability not to crash freeze or any other ways it could stop after the patch of the red ring of death which in it's early stages meant the console was broke and was not going to work unless you sent it to be repaired bought a new one or could fix it yourself. It ran very smoothly and had very good graphics too, it even was very good and kept the console cool so I never experienced over heating problems which was very good cause I used it a lot. This was very similar to the Xbox 360 and so this would mean it is similar but the Xbox one would have more and bigger components. This takes the same steps as the Xbox One.

The NINTENDO WII -  This is one of the most sold consoles ever or the most sold console due to it's appeal to a wide audience, It appealed to many older people because of the games it came with and so many people played it for that reason cause of games like bowling, golf, tennis and this got people active, and then there were games just for fitness which made it easier for people to do exercise and this is one reason why the Wii was as successful as it was, The Wii also had little Mii which where you but smaller and you controlled the Mii's and what they did which many people like too, The Wii had many accessories like a tennis racket which attached to the end of your controller as well as a steering wheel and a gun and many other ones to make it easier to play. This also revolutionized moving to play games with Xbox then releasing Xbox Kinnect and PlayStation releasing PlayStation Move which was the least successful out of the others. The Wii did not come with a HDMI cable but an AV cable and so this shows how old the Wii is when it was firstly released. The WII has the star up setup as the PlayStation 2.
