This is the 3rd installment of the Black ops series and this is the most futuristic Call Of Duty to date, This is the 16th proper installment in Call Of Duty and this time has added new features for the first time which could be seen as good ideas and bad ones too. This is the call of duty which ,ay be one of the last futuristic ones for a while so this will see how well it does and if they would want to do more ones like this or would they want to take it back in the past again which where so successful.

Mission One is where the campaign starts with your character being sent to Cairo, Egypt where the prime minister is being held  captive by rebels and are torturing him and his soldiers. This leads to you and your unit being sent in as a rescue team and must help free him before he is made an example of. Before you start the campaign it gives you a little sense of customization where you can change the face, helmet and body armour as well as guns and load outs. Going back to the first mission after you try and escape there is a huge battle as you try and escape in a armored vehicle, When the vehicle that you are on crashes you have to hold off while your  EVAC comes back around to get you out but as it arrives there is an explosion and this then leads to you being left behind. As security robots surround your position your come out of consciousness  and try and fight it but you get your arms ripped off and it stomps out your leg leaving you defenseless and then the robot start punching you trying to kill you when an friendly saves you and helps you get out. This sets up for whole game by giving you improvements and to join  a special unit designed to be better with technology and weapons.

 Mission two is the next mission is a look at how to use your new abilities and how you can use them in battle, it also introduces you to the team and who is in this unique team. To me this was an extremely boring mission and came across very repetitive and would be easier to learn by yourself especially considering it's an 18 rated game.  To me this shows that they know younger audiences are playing the game, This missions has little story but shows why technology has expanded as much as it has and what positive came out of the attack but from what you know so far it is really good.

The third mission is in Singapore and allows you to be joined by your ex soldier Hendricks who helped you fight the enemies. In the first mission he had the same surgery to stay with your character, this already builds a bond between you and Hendricks. You see the people of Singapore who have been left out and left in super storms to fend for themselves and so this allows for gangsters to take over and have their rule applied,  Civilians are used as trading and you see a deal which leads to the death of both which then turns into a gun fight between you and the rest of the immortals (Bad Guys) you will also have to battle a storm in this mission where you have to deploy a hook of some sort to stop the wind taking you which can travel at 150mph as well as rough waters so this makes fighting the enemy even more trickery but it is a challenge which I found welcoming. This then lead to a fight on the docks where you had to secure a container and then download information which lead to the next part of your mission.

The fourth mission into the campaign is a continued sequence from the third mission and follows the same mission in Singapore, this follows the hunt for a brother and sister who are in charge of the immortals and do not like outside interference so this makes you an enemy and are quickly targeted by them when they discover you and Hendricks are in a meeting with one of their soldiers. This leads to a gun fight and the brother getting killed. This then leads there mission to become a evacuation mission and have to push threw waves and waves of soldiers to reach the area where you have to escape but after fighting and advancing through many areas your helicopter is caused to abort and change the pick up position. This then leads you to have to battle threw a gigantic tree and fight off the enemies and progress towards the new place, this leads to you needing to get a speedboat and shoot the enemies and guard the boat while Hendricks drives the boat to your pickup.

The Fifth mission still in Singapore in a secret CIA base which has been leaked to the world after your team except you and Hendricks went dark and turned their back on the army and special forces. This then leads to you fighting one of your former teammates and defending against a army of robot soldiers. This then concludes the boss fight between you and one of the soldiers who betrayed you but before he dies Hendricks your team member has to drain his mind leaving him brain dead to gather information about there motives and what they're planning. The sister who's brother you killed has her army surrounding the CIA base which was leaked by the traitors and this then leads to you having to  fight your way out to escape, They also flood the base and so you have to fight against robots until Hendricks opens the door flooding the room so you'll be able to escape and go and rescue your friend.

The sixth mission is still continuing in Singapore and is now about rescuing your technical supporter Kane who is based in a police/Cia headquarter which is being breeched by the immortals and robots to capture Kane and make her suffer. You and Hendricks have to push forwards and proceed through the carnage in the Singapore streets which have now descended into a massacre with people being executed in the streets by the immortals, Once you clear out different areas in the streets you will come to an open area where you'll be able to use a silent weapon and take out the soldiers from a rooftop and so this will be easier for you when you want to move forward Once you've cleared them out you can proceed forwards and make it into the area where the building is and where you'll have to go in, There is a big battle outside and you have to push them back and enter the building but as you do a big robot comes out and then so you have to shoot it in its weak spot then use a explosive weapon to destroy it. then you can proceed into the building but you will also have to fight robots as they appear from the fire in the building, you then make it to the room she is being held and that is where you find Kane but also have a confrontational fight with the leader of the immortals and tries to kill you due to you killing her brother the fight concludes with a death and this then ends the mission when you walk out of the building proving Hendricks wrong that she is still alive.

I have not yet completed the Black ops 3 campaign but so far I am finding the campaign and story really interesting and I look forward to see how it will finish.

Graphics - The graphics in the game and especially the campaign are the best in the games history and this will allow for the games to only get better and the online graphics are again really impressive and hopefully this can lead to the next installments to be good. These will continue to improve while the consoles are being able to get better and this will allow for game to be able to improve more each time.

Sound - The sound in the game are very realistic and immersive with the realistic gun sounds and explosions which give of an effect that you are actually in the game and the sounds of the background noise to is also better than it has been in previous installments.

Representation of Characters - Some of the main characters in the game are yourself, Hendricks and Taylor and at the start of the campaign you are insighted to a untold background story to the other characters and you are new so you are unaware of previous story so this leaves the player to guess what has happened, the characters to butt head a few times early on and this suggests that they had a bad relationship an that it didn't end well. There are a few sub characters who are still important but as not as much as there reasons are not clearly stated yet. The characters develop throughout the campaign and this allows for the story to get better and to let the player get more involved and attached to the campaign.

Target demographic - the target audience for the call of duty franchise is 18+ but now where they know a lot of there users are actually kids under 18 and this is sometimes shown by the content in the game and so this shows that they do target younger people but this is done sneakily so it still looks like it is aimed at its intended audience.

Has the genre changed over the years? - the genre of the game is still the same but little changes have been made such as when it sis based as all the early releases where ww2 games and now they're all futuristic which is a change in the genre, this has happened because they can be more creative with things in the future but to me it has now become old and many of the call of duty audience want a ww2 game or similar time again so it will appeal as fresh.
