Legal & Ethical Considerations

 

What is copyright law?  Copyright law is a law that was put in place to keep the original persons work safe so it would not be used without their permission. Which can lead to the person becoming imprisoned or fined for breaching the terms and laws.

What is Libel?  Libel or slander is a law that protects you from derogatory comments and false comments about someone so this will not effect you if someone is trying to throw false allegations at you.. The law is known as defamation.

How are female characters represented in Games?  They are usually seen as sex objects and dress in provocative clothing. There are also not many main characters that are female except the exception of ‘tomb raider’ which is has always been a female character in the games.

 

CONSIDER E&D: This is how games promote gender, race, and equality and if it is promoted in good or bad light, so this will be important to younger people who are lead easily by what they hear so sometimes it can be important for developers to not be discriminative ti specific groups otherwise it could lead people to become like that and believe it’s true.
